Client Stories
Real Horses. Individual Circumstances. Thoughtful Support.
These stories share examples of horses I have worked with during different stages of care, recovery, and return to activity.
Each horse’s situation was managed with veterinary guidance where appropriate. Bodywork, PEMF, cold laser, kinesiology taping, and other supportive services were used as part of a broader care plan—not as a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
Every horse responds differently, and the experiences shown here should not be viewed as a guarantee of similar results.
Scotty’s story
Scotty’s Return-to-Work Journey
After tearing his peroneus tertius, Scotty went through a carefully managed rehabilitation and gradual return to work under veterinary guidance.
His experience became one of the most influential parts of my education and shaped how I think about compensation, movement, soft tissue, and the horse as a whole.
Linus’s Wound-Healing Journey
Linus sustained a significant pasture laceration in April 2023. He was purchased shortly afterward, and his new owner continued working with a veterinarian to manage the wound and monitor his recovery.
PEMF therapy was added as supportive care alongside the veterinarian-directed wound-care plan.
Over the following weeks, the wound continued to improve, new tissue formed, and Linus was eventually cleared to begin a gradual return to activity.
The photos show his progress during that period. His outcome reflects the full care plan, including veterinary treatment, wound management, time, and supportive therapies.
Summer sore/proud flesh
Coco had a long-standing wound that was complicated by proud flesh and swelling. Her owner continued working with veterinary professionals to manage the area and added PEMF therapy as supportive care.
Over time, the wound became smaller, new skin formed over the area, and the swelling decreased.
The photos show Coco’s progress during that period. Her outcome reflects the full care plan, including veterinary management, wound care, time, and supportive therapy.
Otto’s Recovery After a Leg Injury
Otto sustained significant wounds to both front legs after attempting to jump a wall. His injuries required veterinary treatment, including stitches, staples, stall rest, and follow-up care.
During his recovery, PEMF and cold laser therapy were added as supportive care alongside the veterinarian-directed plan.
At his follow-up appointment, Otto had progressed well enough to return to his normal routine without additional aftercare.
The photos show his healing progression during that period and reflect the full care plan, including veterinary treatment, wound management, rest, time, and supportive therapies.
Justin’s Check-Ligament Rehabilitation
Justin was evaluated by a veterinarian after developing lameness from a strain to his left front check ligament. His owner was initially advised that healing could take approximately six to nine months and that a full recovery was uncertain.
PEMF therapy was added as supportive care alongside veterinary oversight and a controlled rehabilitation plan. After seven sessions over approximately one month, Justin was cleared to begin track walking and light turnout—earlier than the original projected timeline.
A follow-up ultrasound at four months showed minimal scar tissue and indicated that his recovery was progressing well. Justin ultimately returned to work and later competed again.
His experience reflects an individual outcome involving veterinary management, controlled exercise, time, and supportive therapy. It does not guarantee the same timeline or result for another horse.
