Cold Laser Therapy & Acupressure for Horses

What is Cold Laser Therapy?
Cold laser therapy (also known as low-level light therapy) uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cell regeneration, reduce inflammation, and support tissue healing. This non-invasive modality is especially useful for targeting sore, tight, or inflamed areas without creating additional stress for the horse.
How It Helps
Cold laser therapy can help with:
- Muscle soreness or tension
- Post-exercise recovery
- Soft tissue strain or inflammation
- Circulation and lymphatic flow
- Joint or connective tissue discomfort
It’s commonly used to support areas that are overworked or slow to respond to hands-on therapy alone.
What is Acupressure?
Acupressure is a gentle manual technique that uses light pressure on specific points throughout the horse’s body. Based on traditional Chinese medicine principles, acupressure supports energetic flow, helps release tension, and may reduce pain or discomfort.
I use acupressure to complement massage, especially when a horse presents with sensitivity in certain meridians or displays signs of internal imbalance.
When I Use These Therapies
Both cold laser and acupressure are integrated into massage or bodywork sessions when appropriate. They’re particularly useful for:
- Horses in intense training
- Post-performance support
- Sensitive horses that need a more subtle approach
- Areas that need localized attention beyond hands-on work
Important Note
These modalities are not offered as standalone services. They are supportive tools used within full sessions to enhance therapeutic results based on your horse’s needs.
📍 Available as add-ons during full massage or bodywork sessions.
