What is ANMR?
Animal Neuro-Myofascial Release (ANMR) is a tool-based soft tissue technique designed to help the horse's body realign by improving communication between the joints and the nervous system. Rather than applying force, ANMR works through the fascia and neurological pathways to allow the horse to self-correct postural imbalances.
It’s not chiropractic—and it’s not manipulation. This technique uses a specially designed instrument to gently stimulate key release points that trigger the body’s natural rebalancing response.
How ANMR Supports Equine Bodywork
When used as part of a massage session, ANMR can:
- Encourage the release of deeply held patterns or compensation
- Improve posture and range of motion
- Reduce tension around joints and the spine
- Help restore functional balance and symmetry
- Complement craniosacral, myofascial, and manual techniques
When It’s Used
ANMR is not a core offering, but may be incorporated into a session when indicated—especially in cases of:
- Uneven movement or postural imbalances
- Difficulty maintaining alignment
- Subtle neurological disconnects or coordination issues
- Persistent soft tissue restriction that doesn’t fully resolve with hands-on techniques
Important Note
ANMR is not a form of chiropractic care and is not a replacement for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. It is a supportive, gentle technique that may be integrated into your horse’s session to enhance overall outcomes.
Offered as part of equine massage and bodywork sessions.
